Goin' to the Chapel (and Goin' and Goin'): Newt Defends the Sanctity of Marriage at Values Voter Summit

Those intent on preserving good, old-fashioned family values and the sanctity of (heterosexual) marriage won't want to miss this stellar event: Family Research Council ("Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom") has just announced that thrice-married and twice-divorced Newt Gingrich will be a keynote speaker at its upcoming Values Voter Summit in D.C.  FRC's description of its mission on its website states that Family Research Council has been advancing faith, family, and freedom in public policy since 1983, and that FRC is "the leading voice for the family in our nation's halls of power."

Nothing like a bit of good, old-fashioned serial monogamy (one man and one woman, followed by one man and another woman, followed by one man and another woman), with a few marital lapses sandwiched in between the marriage ceremonies, to illustrate the sanctity of marriage.  It will be interesting to hear what Newt will have the temerity to say at this values voter summit promoting the salvation of marriage as gay folks are kept out of marriage chapels.
